Interior Minister Returns to Nouakchott

The Minister of the Interior and Decentralization, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, returned today, early Friday, to Nouakchott after having paid a work visit to the kingdom of Spain at the invitation of the Spanish interior minister.

During his stay in Madrid, the Minister of the Interior discussed with his Spanish counterpart the different aspects of cooperation, particularly what is related to the illegal immigration and fight against terrorism and crime.

He also paid visits to a number of vital facilities in Madrid, where he was briefed on the experiences of these institutions in dealing with security and fight against illegal immigration.
