On 11 July, in Mecca, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the official Hajj mission and the representatives of the pilgrims.
The meeting aims to assess the conditions in which the Hajj of our pilgrims took place this year and the official mission’s efforts in this regard.
In that respect, His Excellency the President of the Republic listened to explanations on the progress of the mission’s work and the conditions in which the pilgrims performed the rites and visited the tomb of the Prophet (PBUH)
Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani also listened to the interventions of the representatives of the pilgrims and their remarks on the work and performance of the authorities concerned.
The speakers praised the improvement observed in terms of accommodation and services provided by the government. They did, however, raise certain remarks which, in their view, need to be assessed to draw lessons and make improvements.
The President of the Republic has urged the authorities concerned to make greater efforts to constantly improve the services offered to our pilgrims, to develop performance with regard to the aspects falling within the prerogatives of the mission, and to work with the Saudi authorities with regard to the other aspects relating to the pilgrimage.
His Excellency the President of the Republic took the opportunity to express his thanks to the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the special attention they give to our pilgrims and our compatriots residing there, which illustrates the fraternal and historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
