Mauritania Participates in UNESCO?s Preliminary Conference on Education

On 29 June, The kick-off of the work of the preliminary world summit on the transition of education to establish a better future for all was given in Paris.

150 ministers of education, about 1,500 participants among senior international officials, in addition to experts in the fields of education and socio-economic development take part in this conference.

The objective of the preliminary conference is to discuss UNESCO’s report on the future of education and teaching worldwide in preparation for the world summit on the transition of teaching which will be held by the United Nations in New York next September, and which aims to ensure sustainable development.

The Mauritanian delegation to the conference is led by Ambassador Cheikhna Ould Moulaye Zeine, the Permanent Delegate of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to UNESCO.
