Finance Minister Signs Agreement with President of the IDB to Finance the Project to Support Health Care Services for Mothers and Children.

On 5 June, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed M’Badi, and Dr. Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), signed on the side-lines of the annual meetings of the (IDB), which is currently being hosted by the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, a funding agreement of US$16 million dedicated to the project to support health care services for mothers and new-borns in Mauritania.

This project aims to support the State’s efforts to achieve the objectives of the National Reproductive Health Plan and maternal and neonatal health (2021-2025), and interventions aimed at ensuring universal access to comprehensive, integrated, continuous and individual-focused health care for women and new-borns, children and adolescents.
