Queen of Spain Visits National Fish Distribution Company in Nouakchott

On 1 June, The Queen of Spain, Ms. Do?a Letesa Ortiz Rocasolano, paid a visit to the National Fish Distribution Company (SNDP), which falls under the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy and benefits from Spanish cooperation.

The First Lady, Dr. Mariem Fadhel Dah, surrounded by HE Mr. Kane Boubacar, the Mauritanian Ambassador to Spain, HE Ms. Maria Alvarez Dela Rosa, the Spanish Ambassador to Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould Chrif Ahmed, the Director of the National Fish Distribution Company, and the SNDP’s administrative staff, received the Queen upon her arrival at the company premises.

During the visit, the delegation inquired about the conditions of some of the beneficiaries of the fish distribution operations. She also followed a presentation made by the SNDP’s executives on its mission, the quality of the products, the capacity of the conservation warehouses, and the impact of fish distribution actions on the lives of low-income households.

It is noteworthy that the SNDP distributes 11,600 kg daily through 116 points in Nouakchott.

The Spanish Agency for International Cooperation supports SNDP by providing infrastructure, refrigerated trucks, and a distribution platform.
