UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of slavery Visits National Observatory for Women, Girls’ Rights

On 11 May in Nouakchott, Ms. Mehla Ahmed Talebna, the President of the National Observatory for Women and Girls’ Rights (ONDFF), received Mr. Tomoya Obokata, the UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery.

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Mehla Ahmed Talebna thanked the rapporteur for visiting ONDFF and meeting some of its members. She then expressed her gratitude to the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and the government for having created this Observatory in partnership with foreign donors to protect and promote the rights of women and girls.
