President of Republic Reviews With French Counterpart Bilateral Relations

During a telephone conversation on 5 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, reviewed with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, the historical relations between the two countries, and the means of strengthening them.

The meeting was an opportunity for His Excellency the President of the Republic to congratulate his French counterpart following his brilliant success in the presidential elections held in France last month.

The two men also discussed the security situation in the Sahel and ways to strengthen security in this region to serve the interests of its people.
