Interior Minister Meets With UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery

On 5 May in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, the Minister of Interior and Decentralization, held a meeting with Mr. Tomoya Obokata, the UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery, currently visiting our country.

The meeting discussed several issues relating to eliminating the aftermaths of slavery and the progress made in our country in this regard.

In this regard, the Interior Minister highlighted the particular attention that His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, gives to the elimination of all forms of marginalization and injustice. He also addressed the approaches adopted and the work done in this regard by the Taazour Delegation.
