President of Republic Highlights Necessity To Promote, Professionalize Press

On 3 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, stressed the need to continue efforts for the promotion and professionalization of the national press.

In a tweet on the International Press Freedom Day, he highlighted the important role played by the press as a factor in construction and stability.

“On the occasion of International Press Freedom Day, I want to extend my congratulations to all those who exercise this noble profession. Aware of its important role as a factor of construction and stability, we insist on the need to continue efforts to promote and professionalize it”.
