Human Rights Commissioner Participates in 49th Regular Session of Human Rights Council

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, participated Monday, at the Palace of Nations in Geneva, in the kick-off of the forty-ninth regular session of the Human Rights Council.

The meetings of the forty-ninth session of the Human Rights Council witness the participation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the rotating President of the Human Rights Council, in addition to a large number of foreign ministers of member states and observer countries in the Council.

It should be noted that Mauritania is a member of the Human Rights Council for a three-year term.
