Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets With Head of EU Delegation

On 11 February, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received Ambassador Gwilym Jones, the Head of Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Mauritania.

The meeting reviewed the cooperation ties between Mauritania and the EU and the partnership that binds them in several areas. They also addressed the ongoing preparations for the Africa-Europe Summit, to be held next week in Brussels.

For his part, Mr. Jonest, who had taken part in the last conference in Nouakchott, welcomed Mauritania’s inclusive approach to address security and development challenges.
