Minister of Culture Meets With Director-General of UNESCO Office in Rabat

On 31 January, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Dahi, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesperson, met, via videoconference, with Mr. Karim El-Hendili, Director General of the regional office of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Rabat.

The talks focused on the cooperative relations between the Ministry and the UNESCO office, particularly the support provided by the latter in the development of the new national youth strategy, prepared by a national expert and reviewed by the said office.

Mr. Moctar Ould Dahi thanked the director of the UNESCO office and his staff for their partnership with the Department, particularly in preparing this strategy. He stressed the great importance of youth in the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

The Government is eagerly awaiting the finalization of this strategy, given its correlation with a set of measures and projects that it will undertake”, as he put it.
