The Islamic Republic of Mauritania expressed, on Saturday, its great satisfaction at the efforts undertaken by the sisterly state of Kuwait to reconcile the brothers in the Gulf region.
In a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mauritania asserted that what has been achieved by the parties during the previous weeks will allow to put an end to the crisis and will have positive repercussions on strengthening the common Arab action to which the peoples of the region aspire.

‘The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has followed with great satisfaction the laudable efforts undertaken for some time by the sisterly state of Kuwait to reconcile the brothers in the Arabian Gulf region.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania, while welcoming this initiative, hopes that it will lead to a reconciliation that will put an end to the current crisis and allow the Gulf Cooperation Council to face regional and international challenges. There is no doubt that the progress made by the parties over the past few weeks will enable the current crisis to be brought to an end and will have a positive impact on strengthening the common Arab action to which the peoples of the region aspire’.
