Mr. Mohamed Moussa, the Director-General of the Agency for Air Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), affirmed that the electricity needs of the Nouakchott Oum Tounsy International Airport will be secured for the first time thanks to clean energy.
In a statement to the Mauritanian news agency after he met with the Prime Minister on 3 January, he added that the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on general issues but also on subjects of common interest related to the safety of air navigation.
He affirmed that ASECNA has developed its management of air navigation security in the space entrusted to it.
Mr. Mohamed Moussa indicated that this solar power plant project, which will be inaugurated on 4 January, will cover all the needs of the airport and the ASECNA facilities with the necessary energy that these facilities need to accomplish the tasks assigned to them. He added that the Prime Minister has expressed his admiration for this important project, which runs on solar energy.
