AMI Signs Media Cooperation Agreement with Emirates News Agency

The Mauritanian News Agency (AMI) and the Emirates News Agency (WAM) signed in Dubai a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of news services and media content exchange that serves the interests and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

This memorandum of understanding comes within the framework of the strong cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields.

The memorandum was signed by Mohamed Fall Oumeir Beye, Director General of the Mauritanian News Agency (AMI), and H.E. Mr. Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director General of the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

It aims to boost professional cooperation between the two agencies by exchanging media materials in their coverages and services.

H.E. Mr. Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi welcomed Mr. Mohamed Fall Oumeir Beye in his second country, stressing that this memorandum of understanding will boost media cooperation between the two agencies and develop it to a wider horizon allowing to keep up with the world’s rapid developments.
He added that the memorandum would also enhance the cultural ties between the two brotherly countries.

On his part, Mr. Mohamed Fall Oumeir Beye commanded the great development of WAM and the high-end technologies it possesses that enable it to have a strong presence in the regional and international arenas.

He stressed that this memorandum will establish the bridge of communication between the countries, in the light of deep-established fraternal ties between the two nations.
