Awareness-Raising Day on Missions of National Counter-Terrorism Commission

The capital Nouakchott hosted Tuesday morning the works of a day of awareness-raising on the tasks and the role of the National Commission of Fight against Terrorism (NCFT).

The day, organized by the National Commission of Fight against Terrorism, aims at outlining the central role of the commission in Mauritania’s respect of international obligations in the fight against the phenomenon of terrorism, violent extremism, and the blocking of funding of terrorism perpetrators.

In his speech, the Minister Secretary General of Government, M. Dia Mokhtar Mallal, said that organizing this event reveals the importance that Mauritanian authorities attach to the fight against terrorism, as reflected in the integrated national strategy to fight this phenomenon in its diverse dimensions.
