Mauritania Elected as Member of WFS

The elections, which took place during the forty-ninth session of the Committee on World Food Security (WFS), resulted in the election of Mauritania as a member of this committee representing the Near East and North Africa for the period 2021-2022.

Mauritania was represented in this session, which was launched in the Italian capital, Rome on 11 October, by HE Ms. Zeinebou Ely Salem, the Mauritanian ambassador to Italy and its permanent representative to the UN organizations based in Rome.
