President Republic Grants Special Pardon to Mrs. Maymouna Ahmed Sleymane

The Presidency of the Republic has announced that, by a decree published this Monday, September 28, 2026, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, has granted a special presidential pardon to Mrs. Maymouna Ahmed Sleymane, who was tried and definitively convicted in a public law case.

The pardon includes the remission of the remainder of the custodial sentence imposed on her, as well as the fines, fees, and court costs associated with the case.
