The launch of the activities of the Mauritanian-British friendship parliamentary group, which will constitute a framework for strengthening cooperation between the two countries, was announced Thursday in Nouakchott.
The creation of this group aims to contribute to strengthening the domains of rapprochement between Mauritania and the United Kingdom.
The second deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Mokhtar Ould Taleb Navae, affirmed that Mauritania and the UK are bound by solid friendly relations, which have enabled fruitful cooperation in several areas.
For his part, the UK ambassador to Mauritania, His Excellency Simon Biden, highlighted the eminent role played by parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening and developing cooperative relations between states and peoples.
