On July 30 in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology.
The delegation was led by Dr. Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Omani ministry, who is on a working visit to Mauritania.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the longstanding relations of friendship and cooperation between Mauritania and Oman. They discussed ways to strengthen and expand bilateral collaboration across various sectors. They emphasized the shared commitment to advancing the aspirations of the two countries’ leaders and promoting the common interests of their brotherly peoples.
The discussions also covered several regional and international issues. Both parties underscored the importance of continuing consultation and coordination to enhance bilateral cooperation and support issues of mutual interest.
