Minister of Social Action Meets With French Parliamentary Delegation

On 24 September, Ms. Naha Haroune Cheikh Sidiya, Minister of Social Action, Children, and Family, held a meeting, in Nouakchott, with a French parliamentary delegation, currently visiting our country under the chairmanship of Mr. Claude de Cannay, Chairperson of the “France – Mauritania Friendship Parliamentary Group”.

Discussions between the two parties focused on cooperation relations between Mauritania and France and the ways and means likely to strengthen and further develop them.

The meeting was also an opportunity to make a presentation on the place of Mauritanian women in society, presented by Mr. Saleck Ould Jeirib, Director of Studies, Cooperation, and Monitoring.

After the meeting, the ministry organized a lunch to honor of the French delegation.
