Minister of Agriculture Receives Guinea-Bissau Ambassador

On July 14 in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamedou Ahmedou M’heimid, Mauritania’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, met with Mr. Mamadou Ali Djalo, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to Mauritania, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The talks focused on enhancing collaboration in agriculture and food sovereignty, with both sides exploring opportunities to expand their partnership by exchanging expertise, technical knowledge, and best practices in areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Minister M’heimid reaffirmed Mauritania’s commitment to establishing joint cooperation mechanisms and bilateral commissions to improve coordination and accelerate the implementation of agricultural cooperation initiatives between the two countries.

Ambassador Djalo, for his part, expressed Guinea-Bissau’s interest in benefiting from Mauritania’s experience in agricultural development and commended the significant progress the country has made in the sector.
