The President of the Republic receives a written message from his Chadian counterpart

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received a written message on Thursday from his brother, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Chad, Mr. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

The message was delivered during an audience granted by the President of the Republic at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott to a delegation from the Republic of Chad, led by Ms. Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Minister of State attached to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Integration and Chadians Abroad.

Following the meeting, the Chadian minister made the following statement to the Mauritanian News Agency:

*”We arrived in Nouakchott today carrying a message from His Excellency the President of the Republic of Chad, Head of State, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, to his counterpart, His Excellency the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. *

*We had the honor of being received a short while ago by His Excellency the President of the Republic, to whom we delivered the message from his brother and friend, the President of the Republic of Chad. *

*We also presented him with an official invitation to participate in the African Water Forum, which will be held in N’Djamena on 15 and 16 July 2026.”
