Mauritania Expresses Solidarity With Mali Following Attacks

In a statement received by the Mauritanian News Agency, the government said:

“The Islamic Republic of Mauritania is closely monitoring with deep concern the recent developments in our sister country, Mali, following attacks targeting several localities.

In line with its fraternal responsibilities, the Mauritanian government expresses its full solidarity with the Malian state during this difficult period, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to Mali’s security and stability, as well as its ongoing efforts to promote peace across the region.

Mauritania also reiterates its dedication to maintaining fraternal and neighborly relations with Mali and wishes the country a swift recovery from this crisis.
