The Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors, Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, received Wednesday a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), comprising Mr. Sérgio Pimenta, IFC’s vice president for Africa and Middle East, Mr. Aliou Maiga the IFC’s Regional Manager for West and Central Africa, Ms. Josiane Kwenda, IFC’s manager for Mauritania, and HE Ms. Isabel Cristina Santos, Resident Representative of the World Bank in Mauritania.
During the meeting, Mauritania and the IFC aim to discuss many topics, including: the mechanism for the development of the private sector, support for the partnership between the public and the private sectors, support for the development of investment in agriculture, support for credit lines to Mauritanian banks, and assistance in establishing an investment fund to support projects and business in Mauritania.
