On 26 March in Nouakchott, Ms. Houda Babah, Minister of Education and Educational System Reform, chaired a meeting with a delegation from the FIFA Foundation. The meeting was to review the progress of the project to introduce robotics in Mauritanian primary schools. This initiative is part of the tripartite agreement signed between the ministry, the FIFA Foundation, and the Mauritanian Football Federation.
The FIFA delegation includes Ms. Alison Elias and Mr. Dania Jesus.
This meeting is part of efforts to develop the education system and strengthen the integration of modern technologies into basic education, thereby helping to develop students’ skills in innovation and digital thinking, and to instill a culture of science and technology among young people, in support of the education reform process and the improvement of educational outcomes.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the latest developments regarding the various phases of the project’s implementation, assess the progress made, and examine ways to accelerate the pace of implementation and expand the scope of its beneficiaries, in line with the objectives of the partnership among the various stakeholders.
