Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call from Kuwaiti Counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, received yesterday evening, Monday, a phone call from Dr. Cheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs .

During the call, the Minister expressed again to his Kuwaiti counterpart the deep gratitude of the Mauritanian people and their government for the importance attached by His Highness Prince Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, to strengthening the brotherly relations of cooperation with our country. The special attention that His Highness gives to Mauritania was eloquently illustrated, in particular, through his high patronage, last June, of talks on the settlement of the Kuwaiti debt with Mauritania.

The Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs also praised the central role played by His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in bringing about qualitative change in various areas of the fruitful and constructive cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
