Mauritania Takes Part in WHO General Assembly

Nouakchott, 11 November 2020 (AMI)-The Minister of Health, Mr. Mohamed Nadhirou Ould Hamid, participated,
on Tuesday morning, via videoconference, in the 73rd session of the WHO general assembly.
On the occasion, the minister presented the national strategy to fight against COVID-19 and reviewed the efforts made by the public authorities in the field, which consist in creating a special fund to fight the pandemic, improving the health situation in hospitals, defining therapeutic protocols, laying out an associative strategy, and evaluating the nursing staff.
The members of the organization decided unanimously to create a committee in charge of the evaluation of health situation related to COVID-19. The committee provided two reports which were evaluated by the member countries.
