Nouakchott, 10 November 2020 (AMI)-The Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, , M. Abdel Aziz Ould Dahi, received, on Monday, in Nouakchott, the ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Mr. Norio Ehara.
Both parties discussed the bilateral relations and the means to strengthen them, especially in the field of fisheries and maritime economy.
They examined the stage of renovation of laboratories of the Mauritanian Office for Sanitary Inspection and Aquaculture (ONISPA), funded by the Japanese agency of cooperation, and the opening of an office for the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Nouakchott. They also agreed to dispatch a japanese expert to Mauritania to support the fisheries sector.
The meeting took palce in the presence of the general secretary of the ministry, Mme Alia Mint Menkous, and the manager of cooperation planning, M. Mohamed Ould Ely Ould Barham.
