As part of the 65th National Independence Day celebrations, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, inaugurated the new headquarters of the Road Transport Regulatory Authority (AROTR) in Nouakchott on 22 December.
His Excellency visited the various wings of the institution, where he listened to detailed explanations of the standards adopted in the construction of the building and their compliance with the specifications. He then cut the symbolic ribbon and unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the start of operations at the headquarters.
The headquarters comprises 63 offices and integrated administrative and technical facilities at a cost of approximately MRU 58.3 million, entirely financed from the AROTR’s budget.
