President of Republic Oversees Inauguration of New ONML Headquarters

As part of the celebrations for the 65th anniversary of National Independence Day, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, oversaw the inauguration of the new headquarters of the National Observatory for the Environment and the Coastline (ONML) in Nouakchott on 22 December.

His Excellency, the President of the Republic, visited the various wings of the facility, listening to detailed explanations from officials on the standards followed in its construction, in accordance with the specifications. He then cut the symbolic ribbon and unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the start of its operation.

The ONML headquarters, financed by the World Bank for a total of MRU 18,935,168.5, is a two-story building containing 40 offices.
