The Prime Minister’s building hosted today, Monday, December 15, 2025, a meeting of the ministerial committee tasked with reviewing the institutional framework for vocational training and traditional crafts, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Dahi.

The Prime Minister explained that this meeting falls within the framework of a reflective process aimed at reviewing and updating the institutional framework for vocational training and traditional crafts, in response to the goals set by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Sheikh Ghazouani, in his electoral program “My Ambition for the Nation,” particularly regarding the establishment of the National Agency for Vocational Training and the National Agency for the Promotion of Traditional Industries and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

His Excellency pointed out that the establishment of these two institutions is necessitated by the country’s economic prospects, the need to advance promising economic sectors, align training with labor market requirements, and ensure effective governance of the sector, amid the fragmentation of vocational training institutions, the weak institutional framework of traditional industries, and the urgent need for an effective structure capable of unifying efforts, following an approach that benefits from the experiences of countries with similar economies.
