Minister of Livestock Returns From Dakar

The Minister of Livestock, Mr. Lemrabott Ould Bennahi, returned to Nouakchott on Saturday evening from Dakar.

During his stay in the Senegalese capital, the Minister was briefed on the arrangements made to ensure the smooth running of the sacrifices’ operation in Senegal and on the reception conditions for Mauritanian cattle merchants.

The Minister and the accompanying delegation held talks with his Senegalese counterpart and officials involved in the operation. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on all issues related to cooperation between the two countries in the field of livestock.

Mr. Lemrabott Ould Bennahi also made visits to the livestock markets of the cities of Dakar, the capital, and of Thies, as well as to some model farms for improving breeds and to the vocational training center in the field of poultry farming in Senegal.
