Minister of Economic Affairs reaffirms the Strength of the Development Partnership Between the Two Countries

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdallahi Ould Souleymane Ould Cheikh Sidiya, met on Monday in his office in Nouakchott with H.E. Abdah Muqad Al-Dousari, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Mauritania.
During the discussions, both parties reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries, going over the achievements and prospects for expanding the partnership in priority sectors, which will have a positive impact on Mauritania’s economic and social development.
The State of Kuwait, through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, has been a strategic development partner for Mauritania for decades. The Fund has contributed to financing dozens of essential projects in the transport, energy, agriculture, water, infrastructure, and education sectors, thereby strengthening this partnership, described as an exemplary model of Arab bilateral cooperation.
Kuwait continues its support for Mauritania through concessional loans and technical assistance that strengthen national development capacities.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Yaqoub Ould Ahmed Aicha, and the Director General of Financing and Economic Cooperation, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Nani.
