President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott From Riyadh

On 29 October, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott from Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), after participating in the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative, held in Riyadh from 27 to 30 October 2025.

His Excellency the President of the Republic was welcomed at Nouakchott Oumtounsy International Airport by Mr. Moctar Ould Djay, Prime Minister, Mr. Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdoullah Ben Boya and Ms. Aissata Ba, Minister Advisors at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Hanenna Ould Sidi, Minister of Defense, Retirees, and Children of Martyrs’ Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lamine, Minister of Interior, Decentralization, and Local Development, Major General Mohamed Mokhtar Cheikh Menni, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Ms. Gandega Fatimata, Deputy Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, Mr. M’rabih Rabou Ould Bounenna Ould Abidine, Wali of Nouakchott West, and Ms. Fatimetou Mint Abdelmaleck, President of the Nouakchott Region.

His Excellency, the President of the Republic, was accompanied by a large delegation, including the following:
