Justice Minister Discusses with Emirati Counterpart Ways to Strengthen Cooperation in Judicial Field
The Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, held a working meeting with the Minister of Justice of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Mr. Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi.
The Emirati Minister of Justice welcomed his Mauritanian counterpart, emphasizing the depth and diversity of relations between the two sister countries. He also stressed the vital importance of cooperation in the judicial field, insisting on the need to strengthen joint collaboration in this sector. Mr. Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi further declared his complete readiness to positively address all issues raised.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt expressed his pleasure to be in the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of the Emirati Minister of Justice, and warmly praised the reception and hospitality extended to him. The Mauritanian Minister of Justice highlighted the importance of international judicial cooperation for promoting justice, combating organized crime, and ensuring international peace and security. He expressed his hope that his visit would contribute to strengthening the level of cooperation between the two sister nations in the field of justice, in line with the will of their respective leaders: His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and His Highness the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He then recalled the central role given to judicial system reform by the Mauritanian President and the decision to organize public forums on justice, which resulted in the drafting of a national document for judicial reform and development. The Mauritanian government is now striving to implement this document quickly through a series of activities, projects, and programs.
