Culture Minister Discusses Enhancing Cultural Cooperation with Algerian Counterpart

The Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Relations with Parliament, and Government Spokesperson, His Excellency Mr. El Houssein Ould Meddou, met yesterday evening, Tuesday, with the Algerian Minister of Culture, Her Excellency Ms. Malika Bendouda.

The meeting took place during the Mauritanian Minister’s visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to participate in the opening of the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA 2025), where Mauritania is the Guest of Honor for the current edition.

The discussion focused on ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two sister countries. Both sides reviewed joint projects in the fields of culture and arts and explored prospects for developing this cooperation to serve mutual interests and strengthen the fraternal ties between the two peoples.
