President of Republic Congratulates New Japanese Prime Minister

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent on Friday the following message of congratulations to Her Excellency Ms. Sanae Takaichi on the occasion of her election as Prime Minister of Japan:

It gives me great pleasure, on the occasion of your election as Prime Minister of Japan, to extend to you my warmest congratulations on the confidence placed in you by the great Japanese people.

As I wish Your Excellency every success in your new mission, I would also like to express our strong desire to further strengthen the close and longstanding relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and Japan, in a way that serves the shared interests of our two friendly peoples and their aspirations for constructive cooperation and the advancement of the great causes of humanity.
