Minister of Public Service Meets With ITCILO Director General

On 9 October, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Digitization and the Future of Work, being held in Italy, Ms. Mariem Mint Boidiel, Minister of Public Service and Labor, met with Mr. Christophe Brehe, Director General of the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITCILO).

During the meeting, the Minister presented the action plan recently approved by the government concerning continuing education aimed at building human resources capacities in the public sector as well as vocational training in private sector companies and institutions, requesting support through the development and implementation of a joint program that takes into account the priorities that will emerge from the assessment resulting from the pilot training program.

For his part, the ITCILO Director General expressed his full willingness to support Mauritania in the area of human resources capacity building in the public and private sectors, highlighting the existence of some opportunities that should be exploited, particularly the program to promote the Saharan economy that Italian cooperation intends to implement in some African countries.
