Agriculture Minister receives FAO representative in our country

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. Sid Ahmed Ould Bouh, received today, Thursday, in his office in Nouakchott, Mr. Jean Sinahoun, representative of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) in our country.

The meeting addressed aspects of cooperation between Mauritania and FAO, particularly in the field of agricultural development, and ways to strengthen the existing partnership between the agriculture and food sovereignty sector and this UN organisation.

During the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty emphasised his keenness to develop, strengthen and diversify areas of cooperation between the two sides and to work to benefit from FAO’s technical support to advance the agricultural sector in Mauritania.
