The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ms. Messouda Baham Mohamed Laghdef, departed Nouakchott on Monday evening heading to New York, United States of America.
The Minister will participate in high-level meetings held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, from September 22 to 25, 2025, as part of the preparations for the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) scheduled to be held in Brazil next November.
The minister is accompanied on this mission by Mr. Ahmed Ould Zeine, an advisor at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
