Saudi Embassy in Nouakchott organizes a Reception to Commemorate the 95th Anniversary of its National Day.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Nouakchott organized a reception yesterday evening, Tuesday, at its headquarters in Nouakchott, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The government was represented at this event by the Minister of Justice Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad (acting),the Minister of Interior, Decentralization, and Local Development Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education Mr. El-Fadhel Ould Sidaty Ould Ahmed Louly, Ms. Hindou Mint Ainina, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, and the Ambassador, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad Mr. Daman Ould Hamer.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Mauritania, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Raqabi, praised in his speech on the occasion, the distinguished, brotherly, and historical relations between Mauritania and the Kingdom, pointing out that these relations have been based on sincere cooperation and mutual respect, with a clear alignment in positions and viewpoints regarding regional and international issues that serve the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations and enhance international security and peace.
He added that his country supports Mauritania through major developmental and humanitarian projects.
The Saudi ambassador stated that his country is confidently moving towards the future at an accelerated pace to achieve Vision 2030 and the National Transformation initiatives, making the Kingdom a global model for development and prosperity.
He affirmed that his country’s economy has succeeded in diversifying its paths and confirming its ability to reduce dependence on oil. For the first time in the kingdom’s history, non-oil activities accounted for 56% of the gross domestic product, which exceeded four and a half trillion riyals, making it a global center attracting various activities. Perhaps the selection of 660 global companies to establish their regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia embodies trust in the Saudi economy on a global scale.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the ambassador assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hassan Ahmedou, the ambassador and director for the Arab world, Mr. Mohamed El-Amin Baydh, Mr. Mohamed Muftah Khouya, the assistant director of protocol, along with several representatives of the diplomatic corps, regional and international organizations, and cultural and scientific figures.
