Minister of Petroleum Organizes Workshop on oil and gas Development Master Plan

The Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines organized Tuesday a workshop devoted to developing a master plan for the development of the oil and gas sector in Mauritania.

At the opening of the workshop works, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines, Mr. Alpha Amadou Barry, said that this workshop constitutes the launch of an inclusive consultation framework for fulfilling the oil and gas master plan (gas plan) adopted by the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines.

« Maximizing the economic benefits of the extractive sector on the national economy and integrating the oil and gas sector into the national economic fabric is among president of the republic’s priorities, she added.

«This workshop intends to be a platform for the exchange of opinions, where our partners can present their visions on the gas master plan and provide their suggestions on the best approaches for maximizing the benefits of the sector on the national economy, she announced.
