Union of Mauritanian Writers organizes a Symposium on Prophetic Praise.

The Union of Mauritanian Writers and Authors organized a literary evening yesterday, Wednesday, in Nouakchott, titled ‘Winds of Love in the Presence of the Birth.’

The seminar was opened with a lecture presented by Dr. Ahmadou El-Amir Aka, during which he defined some basic concepts related to the topic, such as: praise of the Prophet, the spatial framework of the subject, noting that the praise of the Prophet appeared early with the birth of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and was subsequently broadcast with the launch of the Islamic call and the poetry of the Islamic conquests until it became associated with Sufi poetry with Ibn al-Farid and others.

The lecturer addressed examples of the interest of the people of Chinguetti in the prophetic praise and the prophetic biography, tracing the stages of development of prophetic praise in the lands of Chinguetti from the beginning of the 12th century to the 13th century AH, featuring figures such as Ibn Razekah and Al-Yidali, followed by Ghali bin Mukhtar Fal Al-Bousadi and Mohammedou Ould Mohmedi, from the end of the 13th century to the beginning of the 14th century.The evening included poetic readings that glorified and enumerated the noble traits of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).A group of poets and writers interested in the field attended the evening.
