Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development heads to Geneva.

The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Mrs. Messouda Mint Baham Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, left Nouakchott yesterday, Monday, heading to Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the fifth session of the International Consultation Committee on establishing a legal mechanism to combat marine plastic pollution, convened in Geneva from August 4 to 15. Minister Messouda was accompanied by a delegation from her sector, including Mr. Ly Jibril, Director of Protected Areas and Coast, and Mohamed Yahya Ould Lafdal, Director General of the National Observatory for the Environment and Coast.
