National Assembly Speaker, Algerian Counterpart Sign Protocol Governing Grand Parliamentary Committee’s Work

24 June, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Bamba Meguett, the Speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly, and  Mr. Brahim Boughali, the Speaker of the Algerian National People’s Assembly, signed an additional protocol supplementing the provisions of the framework protocol for parliamentary cooperation signed between the two parties on 20 January 2024 in Algeria.

The new protocol aims to define the working mechanisms of the Mauritanian-Algerian Grand Parliamentary Committee and organize its meetings and structure to strengthen institutional coordination between the two legislative institutions and give parliamentary cooperation a practical and lasting dimension.
