Minister Delegate for Budget Meets with International Credit Agencies

Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the Budget, Kodioro Moussa N’Guenore, on Tuesday held talks with officials of the international credit rating agencies “Moody’s” and “Standard & Poor’s”, on the sidelines of his participation in the regional conference on debt management mechanisms for the African continent, in the Togolese capital, Lomé.

These meetings were an opportunity to discuss the prospects of the Mauritanian economy, the ongoing reforms in the field of public finance management, as well as the efforts made to maintain the sustainability of the debt.

During these meetings, the Minister highlighted the progress made in the field of budgetary governance, the mobilization of internal resources and the promotion of transparency in the management of public debt.

These meetings are part of a proactive approach aimed at improving Mauritania’s position in international financial markets and enhancing its credibility with financiers and investors.

Accompanying the Minister on this mission are Hocine Majdoub, Assistant Director of Public Debt Management, and Mohamed Mahmoud Michel, Director of Accounting Centralization and Treasury Management at the General Directorate of Treasury and Public Accounting.
