Minister of Public Service and Labor meets with the Director of Governance at the International Labor Office

The Minister of Public Service and Labor, Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, held a meeting with Vera Paquette-Perdigao, Director of Governance and Tripartite Action at the International Labour Office (ILO), on Wednesday in Geneva, on the sidelines of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Governing Body meetings.

The meeting addressed the technical support that the organization can provide to our country, where it was agreed to:

– Supporting Mauritania in the realization of the National Decent Work Program, including a social dialogue component.

– Supporting Mauritania in eliminating the phenomenon of child labor and all forms of forced labor.

– Strengthening the capacities of labor inspectors and supervisors.

– Send a committee of experts to evaluate the National Council for Social Dialogue and provide it with a roadmap to enable it to achieve the objectives assigned to it.

The meeting took place in the presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of our country to the United Nations and Switzerland, Ms. Aisha Vall Verges, and members of the delegation accompanying the Minister.
