President of the Employers’ Federation discusses with the British Ambassador Prospects for Strengthening the Economic Partnership

The president of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, met Wednesday at his office in Nouakchott with British Ambassador to Mauritania HE Mr Guy Harrison.
During the meeting, they discussed prospects for economic development, strengthening partnership with the private sector, and exploring the promising opportunities that Mauritania abounds in various fields of investment.
During the meeting, the President of the Federation gave a detailed presentation on the economic potential available in the country, highlighting attractive investment opportunities in the sectors of agriculture, fishing, mining and others, in addition to the National Investment Code, which provides an attractive legal framework for investors.
He called for facilitating the granting of visas to Mauritanian economic operators, thus strengthening economic co-operation and accelerating bilateral partnerships.
The President of the National Federation of Employers stressed the importance of the private sector as a key partner in development, pointing to its extensive international relations and continuous cooperation with its counterparts around the world.
For his part, the British Ambassador expressed his happiness with this fruitful meeting, praising the clear presentation and comprehensive presentation made by the President of the Union, which opens the way for strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and achieving win-win partnerships.
