Mauritania Condemns Irresponsible Israeli statements towards Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania condemned the irresponsible Israeli statements towards the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering them an unacceptable violation of international norms and laws, and a provocation that threatens the security and stability of the region.

This was stated in a statement issued on Sunday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, which was received by the Mauritanian News Agency.

The Ministry, in its statement, expressed Mauritania’s full solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for its sovereignty and security.

The statement reaffirmed Mauritania’s firm and supportive position on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The statement called on the international community to take a firm stance against these provocative statements to maintain regional stability and respect for the principles of international law.
